Happy Septemery
It's that time of year again. Spring is in the air: new life, new growth.

I want to use this month each year to highlight some of the unseen stories, the fruit that is hard to measure... but it is in the normal, everyday parts of ministry that fruit is being nurtured, cultivated and watered. It is not glamorous, but it is such a blessing.

Not technically part of 4thSeedMinistries 

But I wanted to give you a sneak peek into something coming out soon. 
For the last 4-6 months, I have been working on a book, co-writing it with a friend and Missional Leader from San Diego, USA.

It is called "The Missional Christian" and is super clear, story-based and very encouraging. I have not seen anything out there like this yet. It doesn't use guilt or shame to "get us" into missional living, but inspires us to simply be as God designed us to be.

It is also really practical and uses stories and examples taken from all over the world to share how living missional could look and how it is not an "extra" thing we add to our week, but how to be intentional with the time and spaces we already occupy. There are videos and tools, and it will be accompanied by a simple workbook your community can go through.

Aug 26 Update:

Youth Detention Centre
One privilege Michelle and I get to have each month is heading into the YD to help run a sunday service. We get to be part of a team that works alongside the chaplain (Jess) there. Our team is one of 7-9 teams made up of a heap of churches from around Adelaide. 

After each service or alpha course, Jess sends out an audio update to keep us in the loop. And she had some very kind words to say about our last service that I thought I would share with you.

We could really use your prayers for this ministry! The enemy is not happy with the church's presence there, and there is a lot of pushback and spiritual darkness. However...

Gathered 
Gathered church is a few Micro Churches seeking to follow Jesus together in a simple and authentic way. It has been beautiful to see God restoring people’s relationship with His Church. Many who have experienced hurt or disappointment are rediscovering the joy of belonging, finding a place where they can contribute, grow, and encounter Jesus.

This year, I've stepped back from leading Gathered day-to-day so I can give more attention to 4thSeedMinistries  through training, coaching, and creating resources. I'm still part of the servant leadership team, but my focus is increasingly on helping us grow as apprentices (learning/practicing).

Last Sunday we gathered for a night of worship, praise, prayer, and pizza. It was such a beautiful picture of what God is doing.

As always, there were no stages, no mics, and no need to perform. It was just a space where anyone could participate. That evening we had 14 younger ones (aged 2–18) singing, praying, lighting fires, and joining in alongside the adults. We had people with years of theological training worshipping alongside people just beginning their journey with Jesus.

That's one of the things we love most about Gathered. People from diverse backgrounds and walks of life committed to working out what it means to be churches.  We’re so grateful for the way God is creating a community where people can encounter Jesus, belong to His family, and grow as His people.

June 26 Update:

​A lot has been happening behind the scenes, and an update is well overdue. So here is a short video to share some good news. 

Support 4thSeed

 Also, this is the new 4thSeed Ministries website (feel free to have a look around). It is a soft launch and about the heart behind our new direction, along with a few of the resources we’ve already started creating.

​Over the next year, we’ll slowly be adding a whole bunch of free resources to better serve those caring for people who have been hurt, burnt out, or disillusioned. There are lots of exciting things in the works, including worship resources, trauma-informed tools, online courses, a new podcast called Kingdom EQ, and even an app we’ve been building called Psalm Toolbox. More on all of that soon.

For now, though, we’d really value your prayers for a few simple things:

1. Awareness - that more people would discover 4thSeed Ministries and the support we offer.
2. Provision - for finances to help cover both our personal needs and ministry running costs.
3. Favour - that the remaining government paperwork would be finalised quickly so we can move forward fully.
